Hiking Trails
Ontario’s West Coast offers countless hiking opportunities. Huron County offers trail enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels a variety of terrains from natural paths to
partially paved routes. Come and explore! Ask us for Ontario’s West Coast Hiking Guide and Cycling Guide. Each trail in the guide is numbered as to level of difficulty.
Level 1-easy, for family with young children
Level 2-moderate, wear comfortable and sturdy shoes
Level 3-some hills, natural path
Level 4-hilly, for more experienced hikers
South Huron TrailMobile is intended to make the SouthHuron Trail accessible to individuals and groups who would not otherwise be able to enjoy the beauty of the trail because of physical mobility challenges. Eligible individuals can book a time for a ride on the trail by calling the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority’s Administration Centre office during normal working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Call the ABCA at 519–235–2610 or 1–888–286–2610 to book your ride.
Cycling

Windsurfing
The waters and winds of Lake Huron offers windsurfers ample opportunities. Bring your own windsurfer.
Seadooing
Seadooing is not permitted at Brentwood on the Beach but rental opportunities are available in Grand Bend.
Snowmobiling
Our area offers an incredible network of professionally groomed and marked snowmobile trails. These trails are part of the Trans Ontario Provincial Trail. Trail permits are mandatory. Trailer your own snowmobile. No rentals available.
