A first class community museum with permanent exhibits depicting the early settlement and development of Huron County.
The Huron Historic Gaol
A unique and imposing octagonal building which served as the county jail from its opening in 1842 until 1972 when all inmates were transferred to regional facilities. The Gaol is designated a National Historic Site. The building originally housed the county courts and counsel chambers, as well as serving as gaol and house of refuge.

Watch sculptures being created in their studio freezer, how crystal clear ice blocks are manufactured, an ice sculptor at work, observe computer-controlled equipment precision cutting ice components and will be shown interesting ice projects being developed. The Original CNR School On Wheels Car #15089
This is one of seven such railway schools used as a highly successful method of reaching and teaching the isolated children and adults of the northern Ontario wilderness earlier this century. Located in the beautiful park named after Clinton native Fred Sloman, the “Dean of School Teachers”. He taught and lived with his family in this traveling school from 1926-1965 bringing reading and writing skills to Canada’s north.
